Little Diego
November 23, 2008.,

Diego is the son of my friend Paola and her husband Gerardo, and I have photographed him several times since the day he was born eight months ago.  In addition to being a very cute baby, he has the best disposition and loves the camera.  I am not kidding, the last couple of times I photographed him, as soon as he saw my camera, he stared at me for long periods of times and easily smiled which made my job so easy. Below are some of the photos I captured during our last session.

At the end of the most recent photos, I also posted a few photos I took of Diego a couple of weeks after he was born and four months later.

This is Diego when he was a couple of weeks old.

Here, Diego was four months old.

Shooting with Beckstead
November 12, 2008.,

Last week, I went to Santa Barbara for a two day workshop with photographer David Beckstead. As a photographer, I strive to continuously learn new shooting techniques. Throughout the workshop, David Beckstead described and demonstrated compositional concepts and techniques he uses to create his amazing images. His creative shooting style definitely inspired to step out of the box and to experiment with compositional elements and new shooting styles. Here are some of the images I captured.

I shot the next few photos in a small adobe room which had amazing light, texture and color.

Model shoot
November 01, 2008.,

Last Sunday I attended a seminar with photographer Fernando Escovar  in North Hollywood.  I had never photographed in a studio nor had I ever photographed models.  I had the opportunity to do both and I loved it.  I really enjoyed the experience because I got to meet other photographers, used studio lighting and worked with many beautiful and professional models. Here are some of my favorites:
